| First-Term General Chemistry Tutorial Practice Exam (One Time Use) |
This practice exam is designed for the first-term ACS General Chemistry Exam and will act as a tutorial providing feedback integrated into each question based on response. Students looking to purchase this practice exam should be careful to make sure their instructor is using an ACS Exam from some time in the past 10 years. If the exam is from before then, the use of this practice exam may not be as effective.
Your practice exam will provide you feedback on each question. You will be told whether you answered the question correctly, then you will be provided with the process to solve the question correctly (for you to compare to how you solve the problem), and, if the question was answered incorrectly, where you might have had difficulties.
All of this will be summarized for you in a report you will get upon submitting your practice exam. For each question, this summary will include:
- Your performance on the question
- The relevant chapter and content from the ACS General Chemistry Study Guide
- The relevant chapter and question number from the study guide, listing items that use the same wording as the question
- The relevant chapter and question number from the study guide, listing items that are similar or use the same concept as the question
You will receive this report via email for your continued use as you study and prepare for your ACS exam.
This is a one-time use tool. Retaking the practice exam will not provide a good measure of preparedness, as some of the items will be remembered from the first time it was taken. If re-ordered, students will see the same set of questions.
